At the Walpole Footlighters' 75th Anniversary, the Town of Walpole designated April 13th of each year as Footlighters Day.
As one of the oldest community theater groups in New England, the Walpole Footlighters have provided area audiences with quality theater close to home for 78 years. Since their beginnings in 1924, they have presented a wide range of theater to the community. Whether it be a gripping drama like The Laramie Project, a suspense thriller such as Veronica's Room, an hilarious Neil Simon comedy or a musical production of Godspell, audiences are always in for a special evening.
