Murder on Scout Road
Written and directed by Chris Erath and Alessandra Horton June 8th at 7:30pm June 9th at 2:00pm A Special 100th Season Event Join us as we celebrate a new play written just for us for our 100th year by Footlighters members Chris Erath and Alessandra Horton. 100th anniversary celebrations can be tough. In fact, they can be murder. In Murder on Scout Road, a fictional theater company at the 100-year mark needs a great production to ensure another hundred, but instead they get a questionable script, stampeding cattle, an egomaniacal director, a battle over Twizzlers, and a quirky cast who cannot be kept under control by the exasperated stage manager. And then there’s Jeff, who everyone knows but no one understands. Will this motley crew succeed? Since the word “murder” is in the title, will they survive? Will the (spoiler alert) murder be solved in time? In time for what? This play captures the heart, dedication, and true funny moments from the Footlighters’ past as told to Chris Erath by many long-time members. |
