Future Plans: Elementary Education, Theatre
Theatre has shaped me into the outgoing and independent woman that I am today. I have been an active member of Walpole Children’s Theatre since I was 11 years old. When I auditioned for my first show, Peter Pan, I was extremely nervous. I was reserved and would never initiate a conversation with a stranger. Throughout my years in Walpole Children’s Theatre, I would be forever grateful for my decision to take a chance and audition. I have grown up surrounded by the kindest people who have become role models and friends to me. Without Walpole Children’s Theatre, I would have never met my best friends, and I would have never been as communicative and friendly as I am now. I am no longer afraid to talk to new people, I am comfortable happy with who I have become; a transformation that would have never happened if it wasn’t for my participation in community theatre. I am now a role model and friend to the younger members of the group, and only hope that they will be the same for the cast members to come after them. Being a part of Walpole Children’s Theatre has changed me for the better, and I could not imagine what my life would be like without it. Theatre allows you to discover who you really are, and it certainly did that for me. Without theatre, I would have never been the lead in my school’s musical, or be the President of the Speech and Debate Team. Theatre has allowed me to discover myself and my passions, which I will be forever grateful for.
