Member at Large
The Member-at-Large is the primary liaison between the general membership and the Board of Directors. The Member-at-Large assists at auditions and informs auditioners of the membership requirement; is later responsible for contacting any non-member actor who is cast in a production to remind them to join. Additionally, as liaison to the general membership, the Member-at-Large is the Board member responsible for reaching out to anyone who is interested in volunteering (obtained through the paper or the on-line interest form) and making the introductions to the proper Board member, and then insuring that the volunteer's information makes it into ArtsPeople by forwarding it to the proper person.
The Member-at-Large is responsible for recruiting and chairing a Nominating Committee each spring to nominate candidates for open Board positions.
The Member-at-Large has oversight responsibilities for the Footlighters Borrow Book in which anything that is borrowed from the theater is recorded and will periodically review it and inform the Board if something is past its return date.
