Parking: Parking is available across the street from the theater. Please do not park on the side of the street or on the sidewalk. The Playhouse is in a residential neighborhood and we respect our neighbors' property. Look for the parking attendant, who will help you find a spot.
If you need assistance with mobility, handicapped parking is available in front of the theater.
Public Transportation:
Public transportation is not recommended because the theater is not close to any public transit lines. However, it can be done:
The MBTA Commuter Rail goes to Walpole (Franklin/Forge Park line). The train station is about 8 miles from the theater, so you need to call a taxi from the station or take the 34E bus, which stops at the bottom of the hill at the T parking lot on Route 27.
The 34E bus from Forest Hills comes to Walpole and stops along Washington Street. The closest stop on the outbound route is at Washington Green apartments across from Bird Park. From there, walk south to Polley Lane and turn left on Polley. The bus may stop at Polley Lane if you ask the driver. The route is different on Sunday!
On the inbound route, there is a stop at the corner of Polley Lane and Washington. Walk up Polley Lane and turn at the first left, which is Scout Road.
For more information and MBTA schedules, visit the MBTA web site.
Search hints: If you're getting directions from a GPS or Internet site, make sure you type "2 Scout Road" as the address. Any other type of street (for example, 2 Scout Lane) will give you an incorrect location.
