Play Selection Committee Chair
The Play Selection Committee Chair is responsible for chairing the Play Selection Committee (PSC), which reviews plays and selects the upcoming season. The PSC consists of five to seven members who serve for two-year terms. The PSC Chair orders all scripts for reviewing, organizes the review process, tracks review results, and chairs the meetings of the committee.
Once the season has been selected, the Play Selection Committee Chair solicits director applications and contacts director candidates to schedule interviews. The PSC Chair ensures directors are confirmed and that contracts have been delivered and signed. S/he works with the committee to secure Production Managers for each production as soon as possible, but at least 4 months before the first performance. Upon approval of the season by the Board of Directors, the PSC Chair is responsible for obtaining all performance rights and acts as a liaison between the directors and the Board until Production Managers are secured by the committee.

Note: The Play Selection Committee does not attend auditions or participate in casting decisions. PSC members may audition without conflict of interest.

Responsibilities:
- To attend all General and Board Meetings
- To chair the Play Selection Committee: call meetings, manage the play reviews, manage the season selection process
- To order play scripts for consideration by the committee
- To obtain performance rights for all plays selected for the season
- To facilitate the solicitation (in conjunction with the Secretary) and selection of the directors (in conjunction with the Play Selection Committee) for the upcoming season
- To work with the committee to secure Production Managers (or Co-Production Managers) for each play
- To act as liaison to the newly selected directors until a Production Manager takes over.
