The Walpole Footlighters have selected their slate of productions for the 2015-2016 season. The season will open with Almost, Maine by John Cariani. The play, which takes place on a single evening in the far north of Maine, the town’s residents are falling in and out of love in sometimes very strange ways. The play will open on Friday, Oct. 9. Next up: Incorruptible, a hilarious farce that takes place in a 13th century abbey, where the cash strapped monks take increasingly desperate steps to lure pilgrims and perhaps the Pope himself. The winter production opens on Feb. 5, 2016. Finally, we finish the season with the warmhearted musical take on childhood, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, bringing to life the beloved characters of Charlie, Lucy, Linus, Sally, Schroeder and of course Snoopy. It opens on Friday, May 6, 2016.
The play reading committee is seeking applicants for director for each of the shows and will conduct interviews on Saturday morning, Feb. 14. If you are interested in applying, please send a résumé and contact information to PRC chair Peter Bradley at [email protected] by Feb. 6. Qualified candidates will be contacted to make interview appointments. Comments are closed.
